MONEY BUYS HAPPINESS

We’ve all heard the saying: “money buys happiness”

There is both truth and non-truth to this sentiment.

In this post you will learn if money buys happiness and how you can make room in your life for more money. I’ll cover them in 3 steps and watch til the end for my #1 investment secret.

Before I became the CEO of Clear Sky Wealth, I was self-employed. There have been definitely days when I wondered if money buys happiness. I’ll share with you what I’ve learned. I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER, and your prosperity & money expert. For over 13 years, I’ve been working with amazing clients to grow their wealth. I’m so grateful.

Now, let’s talk about money and happiness.

1) Does money buy you happiness?

The answer is, Yes and no. You don’t need money to have a joyful experience. Watching the sunset is one of my all-time favorite things to do. There is so much that is offered right out your front door as an opportunity to enjoy. But in societies that most of us live we associate money with freedom.

Having freedom and choice is essential to our being and energy. Especially if you consider yourself a creative person. Having the space and time to create is life giving.

Money gives you choice and opportunity to create or do as you wish.

So, yes money does buy choice and freedom. It is from there, people determine their own happiness. Quite often people with a lot of money are challenged with finding happiness.

If you are a person that doesn’t like to think about money, or look at money, or hopes someone else will take care of it for you, try shifting your focus from the physical aspect of money to what choices and freedom money can provide you.

Viewing money differently, viewing it as freedom is a form of prosperity.

2) How does money follow your joy?

This idea might seem farfetched at first but....

Many of the wealthiest people that made money and have kept it, didn’t set out to be rich. They focused on a joy factor that lead to their wealth.

- Richard Branson wanted to create the most amazing place to work in records.

- Steve Jobs was so in love with computers and ways to use them.

I first clearly understood that money follows joy one day when I was stopped at an intersection. There I noticed an ungroomed man collecting money. He had a sign that said, “Smile, you are absolutely gorgeous” He was smiling - just beaming holding this sign.

The next time I saw this man, I asked him out of curiosity, while handing over a $10 bill, “how much do you collect in a day?” He smiled and said, “more than most folks make at their desk job.”

This man sells happiness and shares words of encouragement. He doesn’t give anything his customers or donors anything tangible. doesn’t sell anything to the people giving him money. He smiles, and holds a sign to make others feel good, and he makes $40k+/yr.

I’m not making a career suggestion here but we can all earn from this man’s happiness factor and bring it into our own work.

For myself, when I am in a state of joy and happiness, work flows more easily and I attract more aligned clients.

I’ve also experienced being in the energy when things are just hard, and all I want to do is kick dirt. This attitude or low energy state drives money away faster than anything.

Finding your joy is essential to success in business. It will allow money to easily flow into your life.

When you are happy,joyful- you have a higher level energy about you that draws in others with the same level of energy. Money is likely following these folks too.

3.) What are someways you can use money to increase your joy to become even more of a magnet for money?

If you are a self-employed woman, you’ll want to take note of these. Especially the last one.

-#1 Invest in a good night’s sleep- this means spending money on a good mattress, pillow and some comfortable bedding.

-#2 Buy nutritious food-this fuels the body with high energy levels and focus your thoughts on prosperity. Nutritious food is critical.

-#3 And the last one, I call pulling the weeds from your beautiful garden. Get rid of thoughts or ideas that don’t serve you anymore. This could be holding on to the message that someone called you fat, or that your parents didn’t teach you about money, A boyfriend said you’re a lousy cook. Quite often other people’s thoughts get stuck in our head. These negative thoughts - aka weeds can choke out a beautiful garden of wealth inside of you. Your mind is the garden. Keep it free of weedy thoughts so you can prosper.

How do you do this?

Leads us to my #1investment secret is to bank on yourself. Investing in books, mentors, coaches that can help you learn to easily pull the weeds from the mind and keep you moving toward your goals. One of my all time favorite news articles in Forbes magazine is about how JLo went from Jenny from Block to having a whole lot. She banked on herself and took on things that interested her. This is a huge part of building wealth and becoming the wealthiest woman you know. A link to the article I’m talking about is below.
